People’s Choice Award Winner – 2026

We are very pleased to announce that the photograph “Ancient Shady Path” by Ron
Wilson is the recipient of this years’ “People’s Choice Award.” Congratulations
Ron!
Ron’s photo of an old, majestic live oak tree near the start of the Hazelnut Trail was
chosen as best image overall in the Friends’ 2026 Photo Contest by SPVP visitors who
viewed the winning photos that had been on display in the Visitor Center from late May
through late July. His photo had previously been awarded second place in the Trails &
Landscapes category by the contest judges.
Ron will receive a certificate of award from the Friends at our Membership Meeting and
BBQ in September (day to be announced) and will also be acknowledged in the next
issue (September-October) of our newsletter, Valley Views.
