Cal Academy’s Dr. Lauren Esposito talks about Scorpions

August 20, 2016 at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm UTC-8

Scorpion toxins and biodiversity are 2 of the passions of Dr. Lauren Esposito, a young woman who co-founded the species-saving environmental organization “Islands and Seas” for our Western Hemisphere.  She’s energetic, she loves her research and I know she will enjoy the challenge of your questions on her favorite group of Arthropods this Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6pm in our “new” museum of the Visitor Center at San Pedro Valley Park.  She will enchant and amaze you with the diversity of scorpion behavior and scorpion body chemicals, some that will save the lives of brain cancer patients, for instance, in the near future.  Come and see this accomplished curator from the California Academy of Sciences, and spread your new knowledge around
