Amphibians – Pacifica and Globally

Saturday, March 23 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT

The Friends of San Pedro Valley Park are truly pleased to welcome Dr. Carlos Davidson, herpetologist, with a program titled, Amphibians – Pacifica and Globally.  His lecture will take place on Saturday, March 23rd at 7 pm.  Amphibians are often overlooked.  He will discuss what an amphibian is, why they are cool, and what is happening with amphibian population declines globally and in California.  He will then turn to the identification and natural history of amphibians here in Pacifica, including listening to a variety of their calls.  A lecture not to be missed.

About the speaker:  Carlos Davidson is an Emeritus Professor of Environmental Studies at San Francisco State University.  His conservation biology research focused on the causes of amphibian population declines, globally and in California.  He is interested in issues of environmental justice, sustainability, and climate change.
