Our bird song & identification man is back! Former Friends President, Jim Steele, will help you find logical ways to zero in on which bird is announcing itself. He’ll also help you with sight recognition. Join us for an easy morning stroll along the Weiler Ranch Road trail to view and hear our resident feathered friends in the park and learn more about them.

Prime among Mr. Steele’s credentials are his popular bird song classes at the SFSU Field Campus, as well as his work under the late, famous Luis Baptista at the California Academy of Sciences.

Meet Jim at 8 am on Saturday, May 8th, in front of the Visitor Center. Bring binoculars.
