Second Summer Children’s Program
July 20, 2023 at 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm PDT
The Friends of San Pedro Valley Park welcome Gabe Kerschner and his Wild Things show back to San Pedro Valley Park on Thursday, July 20th at 2 pm at the North Walnut Grove picnic area. Last year’s program was fabulous and even included “Clover,” a baby Red kangaroo (joey). The wonderfully affable Gabe loves puns and jokes, and always brings lots of smiles and laughs to his programs. He certainly did that last year when he brought a fine group of animal ambassadors (a screech owl, a rattlesnake, a king snake, a hawk, a turkey vulture, and a gray fox) to SPVP last summer for the first time. Everyone loved the show!
No registrations or tickets are required to attend, but there is a $6 park entrance fee per car. Just arrive on time with your young animal lovers and be prepared to enjoy the show. Do join us for the fun!
About the organization: Gabe Kershner founded Wild Things in 1988 after graduating from the Exotic Animal Training and Management Program at Moorpark College, with the goal of not only providing a home for animals in need, but also sharing with others a respect for wildlife and an understanding of wildlife conservation.
With the help of these animal ambassadors, Conservation Ambassadors’ Wild Things has been educating the public with a message of conservation and appreciation for natural wonders for over 35 years. They provide a home for over 60 species of wildlife. These animals are shared in their wildlife education presentations, which are offered to thousands of school children every year. Their hope is that through meeting these animals and hearing their stories, future generations will gain a greater appreciation for the natural world.
