Amphibians – Pacifica and Globally – Dr. Carlos Davidson

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 7 pm, the Friends of San Pedro Valley Park welcomed Dr. Carlos Davidson, herpetologist, an Emeritus Professor of Environmental Studies at San Francisco State University.  He presented a lecture via Zoom entitled “Amphibians – Pacifica and Globally.”   Amphibians are often overlooked. Dr. Davidson spoke about what is an amphibian, why they are cool, and what is happening with amphibian population declines globally and in California. He then turned to identification and the natural history of amphibians here in Pacifica, including listening to a variety of their calls.
