Calling all visitors who love to take photos in San Pedro Valley Park! We are announcing our 4th Annual Friends’ Photo Contest! It is again scheduled to run from February 1 to May 1 of 2025 and is open to all park visitors, not just members of the Friends of SPVP.

Photos taken between May 1, 2024 and May 1, 2025 will be eligible for entry in the contest. Photographers may submit images in one (or more) of four categories: 1) Flora, 2) Fauna, 3) Trails & Landscapes, and 4) Activities of People in the Park. The images must be submitted digitally. Each entrant may submit up to four photos (total) and must use this form to submit them.

Contest rules & guidelines are available here and in the Visitor Center, and will be emailed to members of the Friends of San Pedro Valley Park.

Certificates and ribbons will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners in each category and the winning images will be posted on our website and in our newsletter “Valley Views.” Winning photos also will be displayed in the Visitor Center. Park visitors who view the display will also be encouraged to choose their favorite to determine a “People’s Choice Award” winner among the displayed images.

The Friends’ photo contest is intended to encourage our members and park supporters to get more involved by documenting the beauty of SPVP. It is also a means for us to obtain additional photos for our website galleries and postings, as well as our bi-monthly newsletter.

So sharpen up those photographic skills, if you haven’t already, enter our contest by submitting your favorite images, and get ready to see how your best shots of the park stack up against those of other visitors who love SPVP!
