We are very pleased to announce that the photograph “Coast Live Oak & Atmospheric Trail” by Shane Kadlecik, which had been awarded first place in the Trails & Landscapes category by the Friends’ 2023 Photo Contest judges earlier this year, has also been voted as “The People’s Choice” award winner by SPVP visitors who viewed the winning photos on display in the Visitor Center during the months of May-July and chose to submit a ballot. Congratulations Shane!!

Shane will receive a certificate of award from the Friends at our Membership Meeting and BBQ on September 17th and will be acknowledged in the next issue (September-October) of our newsletter, Valley Views. All of the winning photos from this year’s photo contest will remain on display in the Visitor Center indefinitely, so come by and see them if you haven’t already done so.
