Calling all SPVP visitors who love to take photos in the park! We are announcing our 2nd Annual Friends’ Photo Contest! It is scheduled to run from February 1 to May 1 of 2023. The contest this year is now open to all park visitors, as well as the members of the Friends of SPVP!
Photos can be submitted in one (or all) of four categories: 1) Flora, 2) Fauna, 3) Trails & Landscapes, and 4) Activities of People in the Park and the images must be submitted digitally. Photos taken between May 1, 2022 and May 1, 2023 will be eligible for contest submittal.
Each entrant may submit up to four photos and must use this form to submit them.
Contest rules & guidelines are available here and in the Visitor Center, and will be emailed to members of the Friends of San Pedro Valley Park.
Certificates and ribbons will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners in each category and the winning images will be posted on our website and in our newsletter “Valley Views”. Winning photos also will be displayed in the Visitor Center (see last year’s contest winners displayed there now). Visitors will also be encouraged to choose a “People’s Choice” Award of the displayed images.
The photo contest is intended to encourage our members and supporters of our park to get more involved! It is also a means for us to obtain additional photos for our website galleries and postings, as well as our bi-monthly newsletter.
So sharpen up those photographic skills now, submit your favorite images and get ready to see how your best shots of the park stack up against those of other visitors who love SPVP!
