The Live Bats program with Corky Quirk

This coming Saturday, November 18, Corky Quirk is coming to SPVP at 3pm with her live bats, and tales of the fascinating world of these fancy flyers. Her little disabled bats will gobble up meal worms on site while you watch the action on our screen. She is the leader of many family and school hikes in the Yolo bypass bridge locale by Davis, and after getting her BS from Humboldt State (Natural Resources; Environmental Education) she became fascinated by bats and concerned about their future, establishing NorCalBats, in order to rescue, rehabilitate them and to educate people as to their vital contribution to our ecosystems.

Bring yourself and your school age children, grandchildren, neighbor kids to our Visitor Center at 3 on the 18th!

Due to the overwhelming success of  her past program that has enthralled our younger friends and adults alike, Corky will return with her live bats to provide a close encounter with these fascinating creatures.
